Whose Walk Is It?

I was born in 1988. No phones. No internet. When we were bored, we invented our own entertainment. Summer meant one thing: go outside.

We used to walk without a destination.

Just walk. Nowhere specific. No reason.

Now we walk 10,000 steps, check the phone, and close the ring.

The walk is the same. But something is different.

I think we lost boredom. Not slowly, but suddenly.

The phone filled every gap. Every idle moment became a scroll. And when boredom disappeared, so did the instinct to just go outside and wander.

With the phone and technology, we built replacement pressure. Gamification. Streaks. Badges. Artificial stakes to make us do what we used to do naturally.

The question that stays with me: if you only walk to close the ring - whose walk is it?

We already built games to make us walk.

What will we build to make us think?
